sondheimConceived and originally directed on Broadway by James Lapine
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

Hailed as a “revelatory revue full of wonderful moments” and a “funny, affectionate and revealing tribute to musical theatre’s greatest living composer and lyricist,” Sondheim on Sondheim is an intimate portrait of the famed songwriter in his own words and music. Another Indianapolis premiere, this revue utilizes filmed commentary of Stephen Sondheim himself revealing fascinating details about his personal life and artistic process. The season’s cabaret offering includes over 25 musical numbers, some never performed before in a Sondheim retrospective. The carefully selected songs range from the beloved to the obscure, performed by a talented cast of eight actor-singers. Directed by Bill Hale.
