Promotional photo from Nice Work If You Can Get It

Book by Joe DiPietro, based on material by Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse
Music by George Gershwin, Lyrics by Ira Gershwin

This 1920s-era feel-good musical has extravagant dance numbers, glittering costumes and an unlikely love story between a wealthy playboy and a rough and tumble lady bootlegger. Nice Work is set against the backdrop of classic Gershwin tunes as “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “’S Wonderful,” “Fascinating Rhythm,” Lady Be Good,” “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” “I’ve Got a Crush on You” and the title number. This musical hearkens back to the golden age of American musical comedy. A sparkling, madcap tale combining laughter, romance and high-stepping Broadway magic. Footlite’s production will mark the Indianapolis premiere of this Tony Award-nominated musical. Directed by Paula Phelan.
